
Weekly Schedule
June 1st-June 4th:
Sea Life
Campers will learn about different
types of sea creatures and habitats
June 7th-June 11th:
Gardening
We will learn about plants by
planting a garden and taking care of it throughout the camp. We will also have
other opportunities to work with plants such as growing sprouts on potatoes.
June 14th-June 18th:
Talent Show; Father’s Day
Campers will identify their talents
and work on creating a performance for their parents at the end of the week! We
will also work on creating a special gift to give our fathers on Father’s Day.
June 21st-June 25th:
Sports
For this week, we will explore different
sports such as basketball, tennis and soccer. We will go over the rules and
teach the basic fundamentals of these games.
June 28th-July 2nd:
Independence Week
During Independence Week, we will
celebrate our nation’s history through music, crafts, and stories. We will
prepare all week for a celebration which parents and friends will be invited to
attend on Friday.
July 5th-July 9th:
Art
During our art themed week, we will
look at different styles of artistic expression such as painting, sculpting,
and making collages. We will also look at different painting styles.
July 12th-July 16th:
Science
During this week, we will look at
topics such as space exploration and weather.
July 19th-July 23rd:
Spanish
Campers will get to learn more about
the Spanish culture through music, stories, and food.
July 26th-July 30th:
Wood Working
We will learn some of the basics of
wood working this week. We will watch as a guest uses some of the tools used in
wood working, and the campers will get the opportunity to assemble some crafts.
August 2nd-August 6th:
Drama
Campers will get to create their own
production! Through the week we will learn how to create a show by picking a
story and making it into a play. We will create a set and costumes during the
week and will invite family and friends to view our show at the end of the
week.
August 9th-August 13th:
Around the World
Campers will get to explore
different countries during this week. We will choose a different country to
learn about each day such as France, India, China, and Mexico.
August 16th-August 20th:
Character Week
This week’s theme will be
characters. We will have a different character theme each day of the week
including: pirates, superheroes and book characters.
